In my opinion, there's nothing better than coming home to a heartfelt greeting. Whether you just ran out for a quick trip to the grocery store or you've been away on a two-week vacation, those first few moments of a reunion are always so special. Golden Retrievers definitely understand this, and even if you've only been gone for 10 minutes, to them, the world completely stopped-and didn't start spinning again until you walked back through the door.

Sterling feels so much love for his mom, and showing his paw-rents how much they mean to him is his love language. Unfortunately, that love recently turned into a full-on WWE-style greeting in the backyard, and his poor Mom is still recovering from it!

He's a beautiful pup, and his enthusiasm definitely got the best of him as his human entered the backyard. He spotted her from what felt like 100 yards away and immediately made a beeline straight for her. His ears were bouncing, his tail was wagging, and the whole moment was captured on TikTok. The short clip shows 11 of the happiest seconds for @lifeofsterlingnewton, and it's clear that, for Sterling, they were the most important moments of his entire day.

As the Golden Retriever comes running at full speed toward his mom, she says, "Don't knock me over!" But it's already too late. Sterling forgets to apply the brakes, and his welcome home ends up looking more like a defensive line tackle!

Sterling Wins the Best Greeting Award

According to his fans, this pup's greeting was "adorable" and demonstrated "true love." One TikToker joked, "Pretty sure he'd just say you had too many gins!" while another added, "What a way to go though! "

Mom mentioned in the comments that her knees are still sore, but let's be honest... that greeting was pretty amazing, and she probably wouldn't trade those bruised knees even if she could. Sterling's affection for his mom is as heartwarming and pure as it gets.

There's no doubt about it, Sterling wins the award for best hello of the day-maybe even the year!
