Country Star Suffers Unexpected ‘First-Time' Onstage Malfunction

Carly Pearce handles onstage mishaps like a champ! The country music superstar, 36, recently proved that when she shook off the embarrassment of one of her loose hair extensions falling out in front of a massive crowd of people mid-show.

The moment happened over the weekend while Pearce was performing at the Woodstock Concert Summer Series in Woodstock, Georgia. A video taken by a fan, who presumably attended the concert, has been shared online, and begins with Pearce speaking to the audience.

In the clip, Pearce appears to try to move a strand of hair away from her face before she notices something is wrong with her locks.

"Uh oh," the Grammy-winning country star can be heard saying over the microphone as she pulls out her loose hairpiece for all to see. "Wow, this has never happened to me."

Making light of the situation as fans cheered her on in support, Pearce then tells a stagehand that she doesn't need assistance, saying, "I'm just gonna clip it back in. It's fine."

Turning to the audience, she added, "If y'all think my hair's real, it ain't."

"There's a first time for everything…. Just keeping it real honest out here, y'all 😅," Pearce also captioned the video on Instagram.

Fans also took to the comments section of her post to applaud her swift recovery from the hair malfunction.

"I love your personality. Thanks for being real, and you sound amazing! Blew me away. Thanks for saying yes to a small show," one person wrote, while another follower added, "I love you for your ability to be so real! @carlypearce you remain an inspiration and keep being unapologetically you, girl!"

A third fan commented, "This is one of the reasons your fans love you!"

This certainly isn't the first time Pearce has been open and honest with her fans. She's known for publicly sharing her vulnerability through her music and her health. And she has remained transparent over the years when it comes to talking about beauty.

In 2024, according to Country Living, Pearce turned to Instagram to reveal her onstage hair is "fake."

"For all you gals who tell me every night how pretty my hair is.. it's fake!!! This is my hair without any extensions. Here's to normalizing what's real and what isn't and being okay with it," Pearse wrote, sharing a selfie of her real hair. "And I'll send any of you the link if you want all that hair."
