Soccer Stadium Job Simulator Kitman Launches Steam Playtest to 50,000 Players
Developer Outlier has officially launched the Steam playtest for Kitman, giving 50,000 players the chance to try it. Kitman is a quirky, soccer-themed job simulator that puts you in the sports management seat.
The limited-time playtest is expected to be live until June 3, offering players an early look at the game's current state. The experience is also meant to help developers gather feedback to ultimately shape the final game.
In celebration, Outlier released a brand-new gameplay trailer for Kitman that blends the management gameplay with chaotic co-op gameplay.
In Kitman, players take on the role of an equipment manager who is responsible for keeping a soccer club operating smoothly. You aren't just managing a team; however, you're doing everything in the background that ensures players are ready for match day.
Alongside these duties, you'll also adjust formations, scout for new talent, and even see about guiding the club to the top of the league standings. The real pressure comes when match day finally arrives, and everything has to work exactly as it did in practice.
Kitman can be played solo or with up to four players in online co-op. Developer Outlier says that feedback will play a major role in development, citing that their previous titles, This Means Warp and Mars Attracts, were as good as they were for the same reason.
Currently, there is no release date for Kitman, though it is expected to launch sometime in Q4 2026.
