Iconic ‘Say Yes to the Dress' Designer Reveals the Top 2026 Wedding Dress Trends

Pnina Tornai, whose exclusive designs are available at Kleinfeld, is one of the most iconic bridal designers featured on Say Yes to the Dress. The TLC show captures potential brides as they search for the perfect wedding gown in the popular Manhattan store.

Tornai has just debuted her 2026 Love by Pnina Tornai collection. It released on April 7, during New York Bridal Fashion Week. To celebrate the launch, she spoke to E Newsabout the top wedding dress trends that you're going to see this year.

"It's actually the bride that sets the trends, not the designers. We're here to serve the bride," she said. In her opinion, the hottest trends of the year include dramatic fairytale ball gowns, body-hugging mermaid dresses, timeless off-the-shoulder A-line silhouettes, and unique accessories like capes and gloves.

"We've seen it all, so it's really about personalizing your look with accessories," she explained. "When you're willing to wear incredible accessories you don't need it to be on the dress. It can be a head piece, it can be gorgeous earrings, cuffs, shoes, a veil that makes a statement or tells a story."

When it comes to the gown, she claims that mermaid dresses are a great choice because "a bride that is hesitating between a fitted dress and a full ballgown gets to wear them both in one."

However, she revealed that one of her most popular dresses is the A-line. "The majority of brides I meet, believe it or not, most of them pick a timeless, classic dress," she said. "One of my bestselling dresses forever and ever is an off-the-shoulder, corset dress with an A-line skirt made out of very classic lace."

Although it's important for brides to choose the dress that fits them the best and should take their time with the choice, they shouldn't go overboard in the dressing room. "Try to limit the number of dresses because once you reach dress number 100, you confuse yourself," she said.

Picking the right dress for your wedding day is a big decision, but at the end of the day, Tornai insisted, "The most important thing is to stay open-minded. Don't have a fixed idea."
