The Paper

The Tri-City Herald is the Voice of the Mid-Columbia and the daily newspaper for southeastern Washington state.

The Tri-City Herald’s roots are in the weekly Pasco Herald. It became a daily newspaper in 1947. In the 1970s, founder Glenn Lee sold the newspaper to the McClatchy family. Today, McClatchy is one of the nation’s largest newspaper companies, yet the Tri-City Herald remains fiercely local and independent.
