The Tacoma News Tribune released its 2011 Preseason All-State team Wednesday, the first day football teams were allowed to practice.
Four mid-Columbians highlight Doug Pacey’s list and it isn’t shocking as to who they are.
Connell senior Matt Hadley (5-11, 190) made the offensive team. Hadley is coming off of a state record-tying season where he scored 50 touchdowns. The BYU signee is the two-time Class 1A player of the year.
On the defensive side of the ball, Chiawana senior Jordan Downing (6-1, 200) made it as a linebacker, as did Richland senior Sawyer Powell (6-2, 210). Chiawana senior Miquiyah Zamora (6-2, 205) also made the team as a returner.

Downing was the CBBN 4A MVP last season, while Powell has committed to BYU. Zamora was first-team all-league last season, averaging 14.6 yards per punt.
