Coming soon to a bookstore near you, the Ryan Leaf chronicles.
The former WSU quarterback has signed a three-book deal with Crimson Oak Publishing of Pullman. The first book, focusing on Leaf's college football career, will come out in October 2011, according to the publisher's news release. Subsequent books will detail his formative years in Montana, rise and fall in the NFL and struggles with drug addiction. Why Leaf, 34, needs three books to delve into his life isn't explained — Keith Richards, a rock legend twice his age, only needed one 576-page memoir — but his name is highly recognizable in the sports world, if for all the wrong reasons.
