The WSU men's basketball team is beginning to make waves nationally. The Cougs received five votes in this week's Associated Press poll and one in the ESPN/USA Today poll. Their resounding victory over Gonzaga — a highly regarded team despite its struggles this season — likely had something to do with it.

Meanwhile, Klay Thompson was named Pac-10 Player of the Week for the second time this season. He continues to lead the conference in scoring (20.8 ppg), and he's also good at sharing the ball — he's the Pac-10's assist leader with 4.88 per game.
