An e-mail landed today in the Herald inbox that said WSU football coach Paul Wulff dismissed two redshirt freshmen, safety Jamal Atofau and linebacker Andre Barrington, from the squad for violating team rules. This season, Atofau had eight tackles in five games while academic ineligibilty kept Barrington off the field. The two were arrested after police found marijuana plants in their Pullman apartment in October. According to reports, they were charged today in Whitman County Superior Court with manufacture of a controlled substance, a felony.
