The Chiawana wrestling team and its coaches lent a helping hand to the senior citizen residents of the Pathfinder Mobile Home Park in Pasco on Saturday.
The team — 50 members strong — raked leaves and cleared other yard debris for the residents. This was a great way for the athletes and coaches Jack Anderson, Shannon Stover and Rafael DeLeon to bond as a team and establish themselves as a positive influence in the community.
In a time when most teens won't lend a helping hand at home, it's nice to see a group of young men give of themselves — on a Saturday no less. I hope the residents of the mobile home park repay the favor and take in a wrestling match or two.
