Kamiakin rolls in first-round playoff game

Another easy game for the Kamiakin football team on Saturday afternoon as the Braves rolled past Kelso 50-6 in a 3A state playoff game at Lampson Stadium.

Dom Davis ran for 109 yards and two TDs, and Joey Jansen threw for 188 yards and three scores — two to Tyler Holle on gorgeous 53- and 41-yard throws.

But once again the story for the Braves was their defense and special teams, which provided short fields for three of those scores along with Tim White’s fourth punt return for a touchdown in the last three weeks.

The Braves will host Mount Spokane next Saturday at 1 p.m. in the second round.
