Coug notes

Something to celebrate in the world of Cougar football. Safety Chima Nwachukwu is a finalist for the Wuerffel Trophy, a national award honoring a college football player who is dedicated to community service and achievement in sports and academics. Read the WSU news release here.

The Wuerffel Trophy release can be found here.

Meanwhile, Saturday's game in Corvallis — to be televised by FSN at 1 p.m. — will mark the end of the Cougs' 11-week stretch of games. WSU has two consecutive weeks off before the Dec. 4 Apple Cup in Pullman. The game against UW will be the first time all season we get to watch a rested WSU team.

If you can't make it to the Apple Cup, don't worry. Versus will televise the game this year. Kickoff is at 4 p.m.
