What to watch this week

Here’s some things to keep in mind when looking for things to watch thisweek in the world of sports:

Wednesday: The Columbia Basin College men and women are battling for the topspots in their respective community college basketball leagues. Theyplay host to Wenatchee Valley, with the women playing at 6 p.m. and the menat 8 p.m.

Thursday: How about this basketball tripleheader on FSN? At 6 p.m., WSU’smen play host to UCLA. At 8 p.m., USC visits Washington; and on tape-delayat 10:30 p.m., Gonzaga visits Pepperdine.

Friday: The Tri-City Americans play the first of three straight days, thisone against the Everett Silvertips. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. at the ToyotaCenter.

Saturday: Another great FSN tripleheader, with UCLA at Washington at 1 p.m.;USC at WSU at 3 p.m.; and Gonzaga at Loyola Marymount at 5 p.m. For somelive action, head to the Toyota Arena at 7:05 p.m. as the Tri-City Titansplay host to the Eugene Generals in a Nor-Pac League hockey game.

Sunday: Be aware that new Tri-Cities Fever coach Richard Davis is holding anopen tryout camp in Pullman as he looks for players. We’ll have a report inMonday’s Herald. ... Former Tri-City American Carey Price should be startingin goal for the East when the NHL All-Star Game takes place at 3 p.m. onVERSUS. That is, as long as Price’s injured ankle is healthy. ... Guesswho’s back in town? The Everett Silvertips. Through a quirk in the schedule,the Tips play here Friday, go away for a day, then come back and play theAms again, this time at 5:05 p.m.
