At FC Dallas 2, Real Salt Lake 0: Jackson scored a second-half goal and assisted on another in FC Dallas’ victory over Real Salt Lake (1-2-1).
Jackson scored in the 81st minute for FC Dallas (3-1) after he stole the ball from goalkeeper Josh Saunders outside of the goalie’s box and tapped a shot into the center of the net.
In the 71st minute, Jackson helped give FC Dallas the lead with a volley over the head of Lovel Palmer of RSL. Fabian Castillo took possession of the pass outside the penalty area before dribbling around Palmer and firing a shot from about 15 yards into the left corner of the net.
Crew 2, at D.C. United 1: Ben Speas scored 13 minutes into the second half to lead Columbus (2-1-1) past D.C. United (1-2-1).
Josh Williams also scored to help the Crew win for the first time win in Washington since 2010, and snap D.C. United’s 17-match home unbeaten run, during which it won 13 matches and drew four.
Rafael Teixeira scored in his club debut for D.C. United on a sensational volley, but couldn’t prevent United’s first home defeat since the 2012 season opener against Kansas City.
Sporting Kansas City 0, at Revolution 0: New England and Sporting Kansas City played to the second consecutive shutout match for both clubs.
New England (1-1-1) is scoreless through 208 minutes, and Sporting KC (1-1-2) is scoreless in 203 minutes.
Sporting KC goalie Jimmy Nielsen didn’t have to make a save en route to his second shutout of the season, while New England’s Matt Reis stopped five shots in posting his second shutout.
