Sounders FC concluded its preseason trip to Spain with a 1-0 win over SK Brann of Norway on Thursday.
The lone goal came in the 84th minute, when Lamar Neagle of Federal Way scored after a Peter Vagenas corner kick.
“We have our places to go on corner kicks, and I ended up with back post at that time,” Neagle said in a Sounders press release. “It came right through a bunch of people and finally dribbled to me.”
The win gave the Sounders a 2-1 record in the La Manga Cup tournament, good for fifth place.

“It’s good to get a win again,” coach Sigi Schmid said. “We were not so good in the first half and had a much, much better second half. So, they came away with a win against Brann. Obviously, it makes the team feel better, and we end the trip on a win.”
The team is scheduled for weight training this morning, then will ride a bus to Madrid and fly home Saturday.
Their next training game will be March 6 at Vancouver, B.C.
