David Beckham’s return didn’t result in any goals for the Los Angeles Galaxy in a 0-0 draw with D.C. United on Saturday night in Washington.
United (6-5-11) remained in fourth place in the Eastern Conference. D.C., 5-0-5 at RFK Stadium, also remained one of two teams without a home loss, along with Columbus.
The Galaxy (8-4-11) is 4-0-2 in its last six road matches. Beckham was back after a one-game suspension for a red card Aug. 15 against Seattle.
At Chivas USA 2, Toronto FC 0: Sacha Kljestan scored goals in each half to lift Chivas in Carson, Calif. Chivas (10-7-3) moved within two points of rival Los Angeles for second place in the Western Conference.

At Earthquakes 1, Wizards 0: Chris Wondolowski scored in the third minute of second-half injury time to push San Jose past Kansas City in Santa Clara, Calif.
Wondolowski knocked a glancing header off Ramiro Corrales’ long cross from the left side, redirecting the ball to the far post past Wizards goalkeeper Kevin Hartman.
