No license is needed to fish in Washington state the weekend of June 6-7.
The free fishing days also do not require a vehicle access pass or Discover Pass to park at any of the nearly 700 water-access sites maintained by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Requirements for two pole endorsement and Columbia River salmon and steelhead endorsement also are waived for the weekend.
Options available for the free fishing weekend include fishing for shad, spring chinook salmon or hatchery steelhead on the Columbia River or bass, crappie, perch and other warm water fish in eastern Washington lakes.
