BURBANK, Wash. -- Activities and demonstrations are planned at McNary National Wildlife Refuge for Kid's Duck Conservation Day from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 11.
Duck banding will begin at 8 a.m. and last about 30 minutes at the refuge's Environmental Education Center on 64 Maple St. in Burbank.
Other activities include building nest boxes, calling ducks and geese, retriever demonstrations, gun safety and pond life identification.
