Children with disabilities to fish at Potholes

MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- Children with a wide range of disabilities will have the opportunity to reel in a good time during the Columbia Basin Project's C.A.S.T. for Kids event Saturday at Potholes Reservoir about 15 miles south of Moses Lake.

Potholes Bass Club and the Columbia Basin Walleye Club members will be on hand with fishing boats to assist novice anglers.

The morning fishing events will be followed by a picnic lunch prepared by the Culinary Arts Class of the Columbia Basin Job Corps Center.

Participants and volunteers will gather at Potholes State Park off Highway 262. Washington State Parks manages the park's campground, which offers access to Potholes Reservoir.

Each participant will receive fishing gear, T-shirt and a hat.
