EVERETT, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans split their games at the Everett Tournament, dropping a 4-1 game to Portland on Saturday.
The Americans beat the host Silvertips 4-1 on Friday.
Tyson Dallman had the Americans' lone goal at 7:10 of the third period. Luke Lee-Knight turned away 13 of 14 shots the first half of the game, while Brenden Fiebelkorn allowed three goals on 10 shots in the second half.
Keoni Texeira scored two third-period goals for the Winterhawks, while Dominic Turgeon and Jason Trott also added goals. Seth Jones added two assists.
Jarrod Schamerhorn stopped all 18 shots he faced, while Brendan Jensen allowed one goal on 14 shots in the second half.
