Ams' Owsley named CHL goaltender of the week

Tri-City Americans goalie Drew Owsley was named CHL goaltender of the week for the week ending April 11. Owsley won three games against Kelowna, including a shutout victory, posting a goals-against-average of 1.62 and save percentage of .952.

Owsley backstopped the Americans to a 4-1 series win over the Rockets in the Western Conference semifinals.

Owsley, 19, from Lethbridge, Alberta, is playing in his second season with the Americans. He finished the regular season with a 33-11-1-1 record with the fifth best goals-against-average in the league with a mark of 2.51. Owsley also was named CHL goaltender for the week of Dec. 14-20.
