Ams' Ashton scores goal in WJC

TORONTO -- Team Canada is 2-0 in World Junior Championship exhibition play after beating Sweden 4-1 on Tuesday night in Toronto.

Canada beat Switzerland 8-0 on Monday.

Tri-City American forward Carter Ashton had a goal Monday, but he was held off the score sheet Tuesday in a tight contest.

Team Canada will finish exhibition play Thursday with a game against Finland.

The WJC will be held Dec. 26 to Jan. 5 in Buffalo, N.Y. Team Canada will open play Dec. 26 against Russia.
