Tuesday's State Legion baseball roundup
The Kennewick Bandits stayed alive at the Washington State AAA American Legion baseball tournament Tuesday in Centralia when they beat Central Washington League rival Hanford Flames 10-6.
The Bandits took advantage of four Hanford errors, and eight of the 10 runs they scored were unearned.
Dylan Wilbert’s two-run double was key in the fourth inning, as the Bandits scored four runs and never trailed in the contest.
Steven Sordahl paced Kennewick with three hits, and he scored three runs.Clayten Ayers, which pitched a complete-game victory, had two hits for the Bandits, as did Wilbert and Dillon Plew.
Isaac Benard paced the Flames by scoring three times.
In Tuesday’s other contest, the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak handed host Centralia Sobe its first loss of the tournament, winning 14-6.
With the win, the Bandits play Yakima Valley at 1 p.m. today in a loser-out contest.
The winner will play Centralia at 4 p.m. for the championship.
The Flames’ season ends.

Anacortes 9, Kennewick 8 (8): Mitchell Davis’ sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning scored the winning run as Anacortes eliminated the Kennewick Dusters at the Washington State AA American Legion tournament in Spokane.
Kaden Enriquez paced Kennewick with a home run and three RBIs, while teammate Tyson Patten went 4-for-4.

Southridge Bandits 5, Kennewick Dusters 4: The Southridge Bandits rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Kennewick Dusters at the Washington State A American Legion tournament in Mt. Vernon.
Trailing 4-2, Grant Marston was hit by a pitch to score one run. Mason Martin then walked with the bases loaded to force in the tying run.
Noah Olnhausen then hit a grounder that was an error, scoring the winning run.
Jake Harvey led Southridge with three hits.
Southridge plays Bellingham at noon today for the state title, while Kennewick’s season ends.
