Jake Kirchhoff’s walk-off RBI double scored Jashaun Simon in the bottom of the seventh inning, giving the Kennewick Bandits AA team a 5-4 win over Bellingham Post 7 in the championship game at the Ed McNamera Memorial Tournament in Moses Lake.

Simon, an outfielder, also gunned down a baserunner at the plate in the top of the seventh, keeping the game tied.

Earlier Sunday, the Bandits beat Wilder Baseball 10-0 in the semifinals. Chad Crider pitched a complet-game, five-inning two-hitter, fanning three. Kennewick scored eight runs in the third inning. Kirchhoff, Trenton Nett and Ethan Sanders all had RBI doubles in the inning. Kirchhoff finished with two doubles.

w Dylan Keech had two hits, but it wasn’t enough as the Kennewick Wolfpack lost 9-3 to Lakeside Recovery in the semifinals of the High Desert Classic in Ephrata.

w The Richland AA Knights finished third at the Brent Edwards Tournament in Selah, beating Mead 16-4 behind Jason Webb’s complete game on the mound.Cade Musick had three hits and two RBIs for the Knights, who spread the offense all around.

Richland went 3-2 in the tourney and had solid pitching most of the way. Hunter French went the distance in a 7-3 win over West Valley on Friday night, and Jake Williamson tossed a one-hitter in a 9-0 win over Sunnyside on Saturday.

Griffey March was productive at the plate with a pair of two-hit games.
