Pocasangre sparks Bandits to sweep of Titans
Brandon Pocasangre doubled in Cole Henderson for the go-ahead run as the Kennewick Bandits beat the Twin City Titans 4-2 in the nightcap of a CWL Senior Legion doubleheader, completing a sweep Tuesday at Southridge High School.
Trek Stemp reached home on an error to give the Bandits the two-run cushion for the remainder of the game.
Jarod Gonzales had a home run as the Bandits (15-7) opened the twinbill with a 6-4 victory over the Titans (15-6).
“It was really two competitive baseball games like it always is between the Bandits and the Titans,” Kennewick coach Bryan Winston said.
The teams play another doubleheader starting at 5:30 p.m. today at Richland High School. The contests will cap the regular season for the Bandits, but the Titans will continue on to one more game: a makeup contest set for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Richland High School against the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak.

Hanford Flames 14-14, Pasco Sun Devils 6-10Jake Browne went 4-for-5 and drove in six runs, and Cody Kowalski capped a seven-run fifth-inning rally with a grand slam to lift the Hanford Flames to a Game 1 win over the Pasco Sun Devils in the Flames’ CWL doubleheader sweep at Waits Field.
Isaac Benard’s walk-off grand slam sealed a 14-10 Game 2 win for Hanford, which clinched a berth in the Super Regional playoffs beginning Saturday.
“We didn’t play awesome, but we played good enough to scrap out the win,” Flames coach Nat Roe said.

Nate Mitchell pitched a no-hitter in Game 2 to help Hanford salvage a split on the road with Othello in CWL Junior Legion action.
Mitchell struck out four and walked three while pitching to Aaron Enderlin.
Jon Miles and Tanner Heiman each drove in a run to give the Flames all the offense they needed.
In the opener, Adrian Garza and David Garza each had two hits and two RBIs to help Othello win in five innings.
