Baseball: Bandits fall twice at Bellevue tournament
Seattle Stars 13, Kennewick Bandits 5: Matt Mendenhall was 2-for-2 with a home run, but it was not enough as the Bandits lost 13-5 at the Brandy Pugh Tournament in Bellevue.
Clayten Ayres was 2-for-2 and Jared Newbry was 2-for-3 for the Bandits, who will play Baden at 11 a.m. today.
On Thursday, Taylor Baseball beat the Bandits 8-7. Jarrod Gonzales was 2-for-3 in that loss.

Walla Walla Sweet Invite: Kyle LaFon had three hits and four RBIs, and Austin Steele drove in three runs with two hits to lead the Hanford Flames to an 18-11 win over Eastside American Legion at the Walla Walla Sweet Invitational in Walla Walla.
The Flames then dropped a game to the Tri-County Outlaws of Hermiston, 10-6. Syd Hall struck out five over five innings to earn the win for Tri-County, and Isaac Benard led the Flames with three hits.
The Flames will play two games today, beginning at noon.
