LEGION BASEBALL: Titans sweep Beetles

The Twin City Titans are on a roll.

Playing for a 10th consecutive day, the Titans swept a CWL senior legion doubleheader against the Yakima Beetles 5-1 and 8-0.

Twin City (15-4 league) has played 17 games in those 10 days, winning 14 including the River City Classic in Boise on Sunday.

On Monday, Jesse Houser and Connor Moore fired complete games. Both struck out eight, though Moore’s was a four-hit shutout, while Houser allowed one run on eight hits.

Offensively, Mason Hilty had a big day finishing a combined 5-for-7 with two doubles, a triple, two RBIs and two runs scored.

The regular season for the CWL ends next week.
