Titans to play for River City Classic title
The Twin City Titans will play for the River City Classic title today in Boise after handing the Gillette (Wyo.) Roughriders an 8-0 loss in five innings in the semifinals.
Nate Ruane threw a three-hitter and went 2-for-2 with an RBI.
The Titans (37-9) will play the Washington Wave (Seattle) at 11 a.m. today in the championship game. Corey Morris will get the start.
Twin City opened play Saturday with a 12-6 loss to the Twin Falls Cowboys in the final game of pool play, but the Titans already had won Pool B.

Duster Bowl: Brandon Larsen hit a two-run single in the top of the eighth as the Kennewick Dusters edged the Pasco Sun Devils 6-4 in a Kansas City tiebreaker at LaPierre Field.
The victory put the Dusters in a 3 p.m. semifinal today against the Kennewick Phantoms, who emerged as the top seed in their bracket despite a 9-2 loss to the Hermiston Spuds.
Also appearing in today’s semifinals will be the Richland Knights and Othello Desert Sox.
Gibson McGeorge had two doubles and five RBIs for the Knights in a 13-5 win against the Carson Oilers of Hood River.
Othello beat Precision Pipe Baseball Club of Montesano (7-6) and the Dusters (9-4) to advance to today’s 12:30 p.m. semifinal against the Knights.
Today’s championship will begin at 5:30 p.m.
