Legion roundup for Monday, July 2
Mason Hilty’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth gave the Twin City Titans a 7-6 victory, salvaging a Central Washington League American Legion doubleheader split with the Hanford Flames on Monday at Richland High School.
Hilty was 3-for-4 in that game for the Titans.
Hanford won the opener 8-4, as Finn McMichael had three hits for the Flames.
The teams meet again at 5:30 p.m. today at Hanford High.

Kennewick Phantoms 10-10, Prosser Mustangs 3-6: In the nightcap, Dillon Plew singled in Izayah Darby with two outs in the top of the seventh, helping the Phantoms secure a CWL Junior Legion road sweep.
Darby had tied the score on his own two-out single and then stole second to set up the go-ahead run.Jon Hanlon hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning of the nightcap to put Prosser ahead 6-5 before Kennewick’s rally.
Larry DeWitt, who also homered in Game 2, and Alex Straci each had four hits on the day for the Phantoms.
