Kennewick Bandits, Twin City Titans to play for Bandit Bash title
The Kennewick Bandits continued to roll through the Bandit Bash with two wins Saturday at Roy Johnson Field.
Next up? A championship showdown against the Twin City Titans.
Garrett Wilz hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning of the Bandits’ 6-4 victory against Spokane Baseball Club. He then had two of Kennewick’s 11 hits in an 8-4 win over the Hanford Flames.
Hanford got two hits each from Isaac Benard, Jake Browne and Trevor Jones, but Kennewick pulled away with five runs over the fourth and fifth innings.
The Bandits will meet the Titans for the title at 10 a.m. today at Roy Johnson Field.
After defeating Caldwell, Idaho, 8-5 on Saturday, Twin City advanced to the semifinals, where Johnny Jansen singled home Nate Ruane with two outs in the seventh for a 9-8 victory against Spokane Baseball Club.
