AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL: Titans beat Pak

Call it a halfway comeback.

The Twin City Titans lost two games on the road Wednesday against the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak, but avenged themselves with a 7-4 victory at Richland High School on Thursday in the opener of a CWL Senior Legion baseball doubleheader with the Pak that was abbreviated to one contest because of rain.

Twin City had a 7-0 lead built by the bottom of the third thanks in no small part to Connor Moore’s two-run homer in the first inning, and the Titans stood their ground as the Pak eked out two runs in the fourth and sixth innings.

Drew Oord, Andrew Castillo and Logan Jackson had two hits apiece for the Titans’ effort. A makeup date for the second game was not announced.
