Twin-City Titans sweep Sr. Legion doubleheader
KENNEWICK -- Mason Hilty and Trystan Drury combined to drive in five runs and the Twin City Titans got off to a quick start and went on to sweep the Spokane Dodgers 7-6 and 11-5 on Sunday in a nonleague pair of Senior American Legion games at LaPierre Field.
Drury doubled and went 3-for-3 in the opener. Jesse Houser and Tori Weitz each had two RBIs in the second game in the Titans' final tuneup before starting Central Washington League play Tuesday against the Yakima Valley Pepsi Pak at Richland's Bomber Field.

CWL opens today
The Central Washington League season for American Legion senior baseball starts today with the Kennewick Bandits visiting the Yakima Beetles for a pair of games.
First pitch is slated for 5:30 p.m. at Parker Field, with the two teams playing again Tuesday at Southridge.
A league preview plus schedules and rosters for all four Tri-Cities teams will run in Tuesday's paper.

Jake Ebberts and Chance White each homered and combined for five runs to anchor Kennewick's Game 1 win over the Richland Raptors in a doubleheader at Horn Rapids.
The Raptors came back in Game 2, however, thanks to a big game from James Jerrett, who went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a home run and five RBIs.
