Jimmy Shane, the backup driver for the U-7 Formulaboats.com, has just arrived in the pits. The entire crew of the Formulaboats.com team come out to greet him. He'll be driving in place of Mike Allen, who flipped the boat in Detroit at the Gold Cup. The team will use the backup boat -- it won the 2004 Gold Cup -- as the U-7 this weekend. Team members said the backup was about an hour behind Shane. But 30 minutes later, the boat was entering the pits.
The only boats left to get here are the U-25 Miss Procraft Windows and the U-100 Mirageboats.com. And the U-100 should be here within the hour.
