Tuesday's youth baseball roundup

Ryan Vela went 4-for-6 with a double and drove in five runs to lead the Kennewick Wolfpack past the Richland Raptors 16-6 in Three Rivers Senior Babe Ruth action at the Horn Rapids Babe Ruth Complex on Tuesday.

Kennewick (7-6, 4-5 league) led 6-2 after three innings and was never challenged.

Phillip Chen drove in three runs for the Wolfpack, while Skyler Morby scored four times.

Jake Smith went 3-for-5 with two doubles for Richland.

Southridge Bandits AA 1-3, Walla Walla Bruins 6-1: The Bandits scored all the runs they needed in the fourth inning of Game 2 to salvage a split with the Bruins at Southridge High School.

Back-to-back doubles by Tate Spivey and Ryan Sanders scored all three Southridge runs, with Sander’s hit driving in two.

Trenton Nett threw 6 1/3 for the win, striking out seven. Ethan Sanders got the save.

In the opener, Ryan Kimball pitched a complete game for Walla Walla, striking out eight.

The Bandits (10-10, 5-1) will play in the Nick Kimmell Classic in Moses Lake this weekend.
