Three Rivers Lacrosse, an amalgam of players from Tri-Cities high schools, took up half of the 12 spots on the District II All-Central South Conference team.
Attackers Zack Mabry and Mario Midili, middies Hollan Brown and Damon Taylor, and defenders Evan “Big E” Smith and Christian Burrop received all-conference honors after leading the Coyotes to the Division II state semifinals last spring. Midili, a sophomore, is the only non-senior of the bunch.
A pair of local golfers will tee off today in the U.S. Women’s Amateur qualifying round on the Prospector Course at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum.

Kristin Strankman — former Richland standout and University of Idaho sophomore-to-be — and Taylor Kain-Godoy — Hanford standout and freshman-to-be at Claremont McKenna College in California — will be among the 60 players vying for six spots to the amateur championship Aug. 5-11 at the Country Club of Charleston in South Carolina.
Junior Flames 5-12, GPrep 3-2: Cody McKee tossed a complete game for Hanford, striking out four batters and scattering three hits in a road victory over Gonzaga Prep, capping an American Legion doubleheader sweep.
The Junior Flames (21-9) won the opener thanks to a three-hit day from Steven Quadrel and two hits apiece from Mitch Godwin and Sawyer Henry.
Godwin had two more hits and drove in two runs in Game 2.
