* 1993 -- Tri-City Chinook guard A.J. Wynder had 11 points and four assists to help lead a team of CBA All-Stars to a 102-90 win over All-Star Franca of Brazil in the Legend Trophy tournament in Paris, France.

* 1977 -- Kennewick High freshman George Fraga shattered the 13-14 age group record at the Lake Padden Cross Country Run held near Bellingham. His time of 64:05 broke the previous mark by 7 1/2 minutes.

* 1952 -- An error, an infield hit, a double by Tom Marier and a single by Vic Buccola brought in three runs in the top of the third as the Tri-City Braves beat the Salem Senators 10-4.
