GILLETTE, Wyo. -- Northwest barrel racers dominated Wednesday morning's session at the National High School Rode Finals in Gillette, Wyo.
Stanfield's Kaci Kamm finished first in barrel racing, clocking in at 17.567 seconds, and Hermiston's Callahan Crossley was second at 17.653 seconds.
Outlook's Kellie Wiersma was third with a time of 17.81 seconds.
In the final standings for the first go-round, Kamm sits in third overall, Crossley is fourth, and Benton City's Athena Hagins -- who clocked in Sunday with a 17.667 seconds time -- is sixth.
In Wednesday morning's session, Hermiston's Fabian Scotto finished fourth in steer wrestling at 6.11 seconds.
Scotto's time has him tied for ninth after the first go-round.
Hermiston's Michael Pederson finished 10th in tie-down roping in Wednesday morning's session, finishing in 17.95 seconds.
The second go-round began Wednesday night, where Scotto finished 11th in steer wrestling at 9.77 seconds.
