Keepin Class pays off

Keepin Class was the big winner Sunday at Sun Downs race track, beating the rest of the pack to take top prize in the $17,500 AQHA Pfizer Starter Allowance Challenge.

With Nate Smith aboard, the Bucky Stockwell-trained horse zipped through the 350-yard race to take home the winner's purse of $8050. Keepin Class paid out $8.40, $3.40 and $3.

Cb Bullion, riden by Connie Doll, finished second for a $3,500 payday, followed by race favorite Trash in the Air.

A busy day at the track finished with a total handle of $55,275. Sun Downs heads into the final weekend of its 10-event meet.

TREY FECTA

A bad day turned into a bad weekend for Trey, going 0-for-2 on a light betting day. The $21 hit dropped Trey's ficticious starting bankroll of $500 all the way down to $244 with two dates left.
