Kennewick athletic director Ronny Coleman is back home as he continues to recover from the mysterious illness that caused paralysis in his legs.
That hasn't lessened the financial difficulties his family has experienced. On his blog (ronnycolemanrecovery.blogspot.com), Coleman discusses cashing out several retirement funds to help pay to get his house finished, as well as the $55,000-$70,000 cost for a van.
To help offset these costs, a Fill the Shoes fundraiser is being held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Country Gentleman restaurant in Kennewick. Tickets are $15 for the pasta dinner and silent auction, with all proceeds going to Coleman's rehabilitation fund.
Tickets are available at Yoke's on 27th Ave. in Kennewick, Apollo Heating and Air, The Batter's Box and Parable Book Store.
