The host Everett AquaSox pulled out a 10th-inning victory over the Tri-City Dust Devils on Friday night at Memorial Stadium, as Corey Simpson drove in Drew Jackson with a one-out RBI single to right field for a 3-2 Northwest League win.
The AquaSox (4-5) forced a three-way tie for second place in the North Division and closed the Dust Devils’ lead to just one game.
The Dust Devils (5-4) held a 2-1 lead for six innings thanks to a run-scoring wild pitch by Everett starter Jacob Brentz in the first inning and an RBI double by Peter Van Gansen in the second.
But Jackson led off the eighth with a double to center and took third on a throwing error by Dust Devils center fielder Rod Boykin. He came home on Logan Taylor’s sacrifice fly, tying the score at 2.
