Dust Devils take opener off Canadians
Peter Van Gansen went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs to lead the Tri-City Dust Devils to a 6-4 victory Thursday over the Vancouver Canadians at Nat Bailey Stadium.
Tri-City (20-15), which has two more games north of the border, remains one game back of North Division-leading Everett (21-14), which beat Spokane 8-1.
After falling behind 2-1 after the first inning, the Dust Devils put up four runs in the second inning to take a 5-2 lead.

Van Gansen, who was a home run shy of hitting for the cycle, drove in two runs with a double in the second inning, while Ty France scored on a bases-loaded walk and Justin Pacchioli had an RBI single.
The Dust Devils took a 6-2 lead in the third, and the Canadians (15-20) would get two runs back in the fourth, but would get no closer.
Trevor Megill picked up his first win of the season, pitching two innings and striking out three. Corey Kimber earned his third save.
