Dylan Moore hit a pinch-hit infield single with two out in the bottom of the 10th inning to lead the Spokane Indians to a 6-5 Northwest League victory Thursday over the Tri-City Dust Devils at Avista Stadium.
The loss ended Tri-City’s five-game win streak — the longest in team history since 2011.
The Dust Devils (15-13), who remain two games behind North-leading Everett, took a 5-3 lead in the top of the eighth inning on a run-scoring single by Mitch Morales and a double by Peter Van Gansen.
The Indians (14-14), who ended a two-game skid, struck back in the bottom of the eighth with a solo home run by Jamie Potts and a sacrifice fly by Carlos Garay that scored Sherman Lacrus.
Van Gansen led the Dust Devils, going 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Phil Maton took the loss for Tri-City after Corey Kimber blew the save in the eighth. Spokane’s Luis Parra pitched the final two winnings to pick up his league-leading sixth win of the season.
The teams will finish their three-game series tonight.
