Moses Lake defeats Chiawana in SO

PASCO -- Moses Lake tied the score at 2 with two minutes left in regulation before beating Chiawana in a 5-3 shootout during a CBBN 4A matchup Tuesday in Pasco.

Lexi Miller scored both regulation goals for the Riverhawks and added a goal in the shootout, but all five Chiefs players converted their spot kicks for the win.

"Moses Lake is a good team, I can't take anything away from them," said Chiawana coach Rich Zoller. "They came out and scored in the first two minutes. I thought we were the better team from that point.

"We allowed them the score in the last two minutes of the game."

The Riverhawks outshot the Chiefs 14-6.

RICHLAND -- Bria Caldwell scored twice, bringing her season total to 13 goals, to lift Richland to a CBBN 4A shutout at home.

Kristen Calmus assisted on both of Caldwell's goals, and Shelby Long made two saves in the Bombers' goal.

PASCO -- Kie Johnson scored in the 34th and 60th minutes for visiting Hanford (10-2 overall, 9-1 CBBN 3A), which entered the game in a three-way tie with Southridge and Kamiakin.

"(Johnson) had two really nice goals," said Hanford varsity assistant coach Glen Ledgerwood.

Adriana Trevino had the lone goal for Pasco.
