Pasco drops season opener on the road to Davis

The Pasco Bulldogs scored early, but they couldn’t get into the end zone with a late possession, dropping their season opener 19-13 to the Davis Pirates on Thursday night at Zaepfel Stadium in Yakima.

Kolby Killoy scored on a 1-yard run at 6:37 of the first, only to see the Pirates score twice in the second quarter for a 13-7 lead.

The Bulldogs countered with a 7-yard run by Deondre Hendrix to even the score at 13-13 in the third, but Davis would have the last word with a Jordan Alcala touchdown run with 2:11 left to play in the third.

Pasco was in the game all night despite finishing with four first downs and 92 yards of offense compared with 377 for Davis. Kaleb Ash led the Bulldogs with 25 yards on nine carries.
