Mead 68, Davis 22

SPOKANE -- The Pirates once again won't be going to the state playoffs, as they were blitzed from the start at Joe Albi Stadium.

Mead led 21-0 in the early going, and romped its way to an easy victory and a berth in the Class 4A state playoffs.

Davis threw four interceptions and never could get its high-powered offense untracked. Deion Wright was 12-for-25 for 140 yards and two touchdowns, but he also threw three picks. Austin Wagner added 160 yards rushing and a score for the Pirates.
