Quick hits

* QB Quick will benefit from the tutelage of Tom Moore and a year of off-season work.

* K Kevin Garza will miss the season after surgery on his stomach 2 days into fall camp. But Q Taychak, who filled in admirably for Garza last season, can put a charge into the ball.

* QB Zack Whitby is one of four Whitby family members to join the Bombers this year after transferring from Pasco. Zack was the Bulldogs' leading passer as a freshman with 1,541 yards and 14 TDs.

* He may not have the prettiest style, but RB Robinson led CBBN 4A with 8.1 yards per carry last season. "He runs like a bucket of bolts, but he made some spectacular runs," Neidhold said.

The Bombers lost some bodies on the line, but they have valuable returners at the skill positions. They'll contend for the CBBN 4A title.
