Roundup: Rossine sparks Ki-Be bats with grand slam
Nate Rossine capped a big day of hitting for the Kiona-Benton baseball team with a fifth-inning grand slam Thursday in an 11-1 nonleague road win over Cascade.
Rossine also doubled and drove in another run, and Trey Manson added a double and three RBIs.

SANTIAM CHRISTIAN 2, STANFIELD 1: Tigers starter Dylan Grogan came within an out of having a marvelous day. Instead, his counterpart, Dru Draper, hit a two-run walkoff home run to lead the defending Oregon 2A state champs to a win in Corvallis.
Grogan gave up just two hits over 6 2/3 innings, striking out eight and walking just two. He also drove what looked to be the game’s only run with an RBI single in the third inning.
But Draper, who was sterling in his seven innings of work, got hold of a pitch with two out in the bottom of the seventh to hand Stanfield (15-2) a rare setback.
