Richland's Lisa Bratton and Othello High School graduate Natilee Ruiz, who competed at the U.S. Olympic Team Trials earlier this summer, are entered in this week's U.S. Open Swimming Championships in Indianapolis.
Bratton and Ruiz both will swim the 200-meter backstroke Wednesday, the 100 back Friday and the 200 individual medley Saturday.
Bratton is seeded 12th in the 200 back with a time of 2 minutes, 13.57 seconds. She achieved that time in her heat at the Olympic Trials in Omaha, Neb., where she advanced to the semifinals in 13th place.
Bratton also will compete in the 400 IM on Thursday, while Ruiz's fourth event is the 200 freestyle Friday.

Ruiz qualified for the U.S. Open in the 200 free while at the Olympic Trials, clocking a 2:04.80.
