Big second half lifts Southridge boys over Pasco

KENNEWICK -- Southridge shrugged off a four-point halftime deficit to put the screws to Pasco and the Suns posted a 73-50 CBBN 3A home victory Tuesday against Pasco.

Southridge's Matt Mendenhall scored 22 of his game-high 32 points in the fiery second half, where the Suns outshined their opponent 52-25.

"Mendenhall sparked us in the third quarter and got us going defensively," Southridge coach Jason DeVere said. "We did a nice job outscoring their 3-point shooters."

Brad Scott had 18 points for Southridge and combined with Mendenhall for 18 rebounds.

Efrain Cardoza led Pasco with 22 points and Julian Figueroa added 13 points.
