Fraga leads Southridge girls to first win

KENNEWICK -- Kylie Fraga had 12 points, Emma Sanders and Breanna Lyons had 10 points apiece and Southridge posted its first victory of the season 57-37 in CBBN 3A action against Pasco.

C.C. Alferness led Pasco's attack with 12 points.

Both teams were winless coming into the contest and fought hard to the halfway point, where the Suns held only a delicate two-point lead.

But they kept the energy high and outscored the Bulldogs 31-13 in the second half.

"Our bench players really did a good job keeping up the intensity," Southridge coach Scott Stiles said. "We're trying to strive to play four solid quarters of basketball and felt we got that tonight."
